Selecting the right electric linear actuator for the task doesn’t have to be complicated. Our sizing software gets you to the right fit faster. The process begins when you enter your project parameters in our web interface at sizeit.tolomatic.com.The software asks the right questions and walks you through the specifying process step by step so you get the electric rod actuator or rodless electromechanical actuator that suits your application.
Sizing software is available on our website, plus there’s direct access through our iPad application. Click here to get to the iTunes App Store where you can download our app. For more in-depth information on linear actuator selection, read our white papers on selection tips for rodless electro-mechanical actuators and electric rod actuators.
How our software works
Define your project parameters
The process begins with you defining critical parameters: motor mounting, actuator orientation, stroke length, environmental conditions, and others.
Describe the motion profile
You’ll be able to define loads and velocities for the stroke segments you specify. The number of segments and their characteristics are up to you.
Select a product
The software will show you the Tolomatic products that fit your parameters and motion profile. At this point you can research products or you can choose an actuator and lead screw type and proceed.
Choose motor mounting
If you’re using a third-party motor, you can choose whether or not you want us to provide motor mounting through our Your Motor Here program. The sizing software lets you tell us the motor brand and model you’ll be using.
Get your product results
Our software then lists the actuator models that could meet your needs. When you select one, the ordering code appears.
Use our electric linear actuator sizing software now
Because Tolomatic sizing software is online you won’t have to wait for it to download or ask your IT department if it’s OK to install. We take care of software updates so you always have access to the most up-to-date version. You can visit our website to use it, or get our iPad app that gives you direct access to this software and much more.
