Application Description:
Case positioning of empty bottles for preparation of filling process
Challenge:
A manufacturer of robotic packaging solutions needed an automated solution for positioning cartons of empty bottles on a conveyor prior to filling. The solution needed to accommodate over 18,000 different carton variations. They were looking for quick delivery with less than a week to size, order, train and install the actuator solution. Panel space for controls was already dedicated and they were looking for a device that would accept an analog signal and position without adding multiple controls and hardware.
Tolomatic Solution:
A Tolomatic ACSI Servo Motor with Integrated Drive and ERD actuator were selected because they offer a complete actuation solution in a compact package, allowing the customer to save valuable space in controls panel. The ACSI Servo motor with its digital I/O and analog input, allowed for easy integration into the control system.
