Summary
Join our Engineering Research and Development team and experience the satisfaction of taking parts from initial concept to finished prototype. Unlike traditional production environments, you’ll own the entire process, from programming, setup and machining. You’ll collaborate directly with Engineers to shape the future of our products, enhance manufacturability and respond quickly to customers.
What you’ll do:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills/lathes; build fixtures/tooling as needed
- Produce prototype components from print/model to complete part
- Manage your own workload in support of company priorities and using our lab scheduling system
- Collaborate with Production Machining and Engineering to provide tactful, constructive feedback to make designs more manufacturable
- Support production machining when appropriate
- Adapt dynamically to shifting priorities and deadlines
- Work safely and maintain a clean work area
Description
- 2+ years technical college training in machine shop practices or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of hands-on machine shop experience, including CNC mills, lathes, and tool grinding
- Ability to set up and program CNC lathes and mills
- Self-motivated, proactive, results driven attitude
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Willing to Assist with other Engineering lab work
- Work on jobs according to shifting priorities and due dates
- Experience with alternative manufacturing methods desired (e.g. 3D Printing, Welding, etc.)
- Manage workload and Report job progress using a scheduling system
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
$34-$37/hour
